My Korean Name is 하세니

April 26, 2015

Tiba-tiba kenangan ni lalu di fikiran.

Many many years ago - sekitar 10 tahun yang lepas. OH SANGAT LAMA. Tapi saya ingat. Inilah guna ada diari. I can even tell you apa yang saya buat pada tahun 2001 petang tarikh 23 Oktober. Rujuk diari saja. Memang rekod tulis sangat banyak. Sekarang ni saja jarang merekod tapi thank you to myself I still blog anyway walaupun cerita tiada apa-apa.

BTW kenangan yang saya mention tadi.

Sebenarnya tiada apa-apa. Not worth an entry pun. Tapi disebabkan blog ini adalah untuk diri sendiri, walaupun sekadar satu perenggan, kalau saya rasa nak tulis, what the hell I'll just write. Even if it's not worth it. Even it might waste your time or my time. Even it will collapse the entire world OKEY OVERACTING.

10 years ago, waktu tu masih belasan tahun (sounds so wrong when I'm still belasan tahun at heart HUAHAHA), kebetulan ada satu rombongan church dari Korea datang melawat ke kampung. In case ada yang menggelupur terfikir bukan-bukan, I nak cakap sedia, NO saya tiada dengar apa-apa kes murtad di kampung kami time tu hingga sekarang. Muslims and Christians live happily here. Not even an issue. So rombongan ni datang, dan kebetulan waktu tu my mum ada buka gerai depan rumah. Time tu cuti panjang so saya di situ tolong my mum. Rombongan 1 van (8-10 orang) terdiri daripada remaja lelaki dan perempuan (hensem dan cantik-cantik) tu singgah makan dekat gerai. Semua minta meehun sup ayam WITHOUT timun. Haha ingat lagi okey. Silap-silap one of them ramai-ramai tu ada seorang dua jadi artis di Seoul sekarang lul.

Duduk-duduk situ, sebab their english quite good and of course me being jakun tengok foreigners. Sempat tanya umur lagi tau. Kebanyakkan diorang around my age juga. Paling tua pun 3 - 4 tahun lebih tua. Ada yang muda setahun dua dari saya. I have zero knowledge about Korea time tu. Itupun they have to tell they're from Korea if not I would just assume they're Japanese from another region with different accent HAHAH.

Then one of the Korean guy cuba nak rapat, ajak-ajak sembang. Tinggi sangat-sangat. Aku ni mana minat lelaki tinggi kurus. Mula-mula tak nak ah malas layan ah. Tapi one of his friend handsome gila buat melting tapi dia tak pandang kita pon? KAHKAH. So tidak apalah. Yang dia ni pun okey. Bukannya jumpa pon balik lepas ni. Layan saja macam kawan. Mum was there too anyway.

"You're pretty."

When no one's hearing. Antara ayat yang saya masih ingat. Yalah being a girl, kena puji tu yang paling diingat. HAHAH.

Lepas tu dia koyakkan satu kertas kecil. Yang lain dah selesai makan dan prepare naik van balik. Tau tak dia tulis apa? Mula-mula dia tanya nama saya.

"My name Hasnie Falina. Or Hasnie. Why?"
"Hasseni?"
"Umm."
"Let me write your name".

Salah seorang perempuan dari van (eh dah naik semua) panggil dia dari jauh terjerit sikit. Dia jawap simple saja ;

"Araso!"

I still remember it clearly tapi aku memang blank fikir diorang tengah cakap apa time tu. But looking back, ARASO was the first Korean word I heard lul! And few seconds after, he handed me that piece of paper written my name in Korean alphabet (hangul).

 Ha Se Ni

So, this might be my official name if I'm a Korean? XD

I kept that piece of paper for quite so long, I think I still keep it. Tapi kena rummage into my boxes (kotak tahap ancient sebab simpan dari awal sekolah menengah lagi KAHKAH). We even took 1 picture together tapi time tu tak tahu sekarang ni boleh brag about I once knew a Korean maka saya dah buang HAHAHA. Buang sebab malu kalau orang nampak saya bergambar dengan lelaki (I am THAT shy) walaupun actly gambar tu ada photobomb dekat belakang. I feel embarrassed just by looking at it so eventually I throw it away. T____T

There, another teenage memory recorded in this blog. =P

  1. Hello there!

I am a Sabahan too. I've just released a game for Android called Teka Bahasa Sabah.

It's a picture guessing game where your goal is to guess the meaning of pictures showing variety of objects or situations. Your answers must be in Sabah Borneo Malay dialect.

It would be great if you could give it a mention in your blog as I think we do not have many games targeted towards to the local audience.

You can see more screenshots and download the game from Google Play Store. It's free!
